DEBT ADVICE

Are you feeling overwhelmed by your financial situation? At Tamworth Baptist Church we offer a FREE debt advice service in association with Christians Against Poverty (CAP) a national UK debt counselling charity working through centres (currently 125 centres) based in churches across the country.  If you’re in debt and you feel like you’re never going to get yourself out of it, then we can help.

CAP offers hope and a solution to anyone in debt through its unique, in-depth service.

Ring freephone number 0800 328 0006 to find out about our free debt advice service.  A caseworker will arrange an appointment to visit you, we will work out a realistic budget, prioritising your living expenses and essential bills as well as negotiating affordable payments with each creditor.

CAP aims to show God’s love in action by providing sustainable poverty relief through debt counselling, advice and practical help. CAP’s unique ‘hands on’ approach empowers people to help themselves out of poverty and be released from the fear, oppression and worry generated by overwhelming debts. We are providing sustainable poverty relief as our service teaches clients vital budgeting skills that will last a lifetime.

Is CAP just for Christians? - No, CAP will help anyone regardless of their religious beliefs. CAP aims to ensure that no one receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of race, nationality, religion, age, gender, marital status, sexual orientation or disability.

The charity operates through a growing network of UK centres, all opened in partnership with a local church.  CAP began in 1996 when John Kirkby, armed with a £10 donation, started to help people in his local community who were trapped in debt.

To contact the Tamworth Centre (based at our Belgrave building) please ring 01827 260019.  All calls are confidential.
